what is up

*not* a continuation of a previous blog, but a rebirth of some sort, i guess. unlike my other very public friendster blog, i'm hoping that this will be one that is read by few on their own volition rather than read by many on friendster's incessant prompting. that being said, on this page you will come across thoughtful posts, straight-up feelings, manifestos on education reform, thoughts on social change, and generally - the craziness that *is* my world.....enjoy : )

talking issues in the wee hours of the morning

how is it possible that i got swept into a conversation (a.k.a. argument) with my mother about the inappropriateness of statue of liberty mementos as a wedding gift to my cousin's friends living in india and the detriments of globalization/misguided obsessions with the american dream at 8:30 in the morning?

wondering if this is 'normal'...

(an article i found in the help-me-get-through-this-morning-google-search-therapy phase of my day: living the american dream)

nausea

not from stomach issues, morning sickness, being at sea, or anything like that really. the source: staring at a computer all day. my eyes, staring into fog of times new roman letters swimming around, play tricks on me (trix are for kids! a voice in my head cries) but it continues.

my bladder awakens after the umpteenth cup of water that i have had today and i trudge myself over the the bathroom key and out to the bathroom in the hallway. good news: it's clear.

94.8% of my day is over and i'm stickin the rest of it out.

recent addictions

- t.v. series: gilmore girls, desparate housewives
- activities: sleeping, internet surfing, going to the gym, frisbee-ing (when i have folks to frisbee with)
- foods: bagels and whipped cream cheese
